The PhD students in the Environmental Sustainability Development Program of the University of Bahrain are working on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their targets. In the course ESD 793, the students were trained to address the contemporary issues related to environmental sustainability. This course enabled them to observe, assess and analyze an issue of concern and come up with a plan to address or contribute in beating that challenging issue. The outcomes of the course are that every student of ESD program can now debate on issues of Environmental Sustainability and can write critical reviews. In fact the students presented their works in different national and international academic forums and they synthesized review articles from the selected publications of the last five years focused on specific topics related to SDGs. So for the review articles of three students have been accepted in Springer and MDPI journals and those of others are at various stages of publications.
