The University of Bahrain signed a memorandum of understanding in July 2018 with the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications through the Civil Aviation Affairs to establish collaboration in the field of meteorology transportation and communications. The agreement includes offering an MSc program and a Minor in Weather Forecasts which provides candidates with the proper training on the World Meteorological Organization standards. The two parties also collaborate in scientific research and offer training for the employees of both parties. Moreover, the agreement includes linking the meteorological station of the two parties and work to develop a mechanism for exchanging information between the two stations.
