In May 2018, the university of Bahrain signed a three years agreement with EK Kanoo which is considered one of the major players in automotive industry in Bahrain. The agreement provides students from the College of Engineering with sponsorships that covers their tuition fees, books and monthly stipends. The agreement also entitles students from all university colleges to apply for the recruitment scheme offered by the company. In addition, the company supports students’ graduation projects from the Department of Mechanical Engineering through sponsorship awards for outstanding projects. The company also provides support the Department of Mechanical Engineering through donations of equipment and machinery as well as staff development and training.
