To investigate the death of Whale near Bahrain shore
University of Bahrain has participated in the investigation of a Carcass what that seen in Bahrain Coast in May 2019. A study was conducted by the department of biology to reveal the causes of whale death. Samples from the Whale were analyzed using the department of biology laboratory facilities and no toxic algae were found in the tested surrounding water and Whale samples. This was achieved in collaboration with the Bahraini voluntary scuba diving team and the supreme council of environment. UoB has been always supporting the local community and organizations in efforts of maintaining the marine ecosystem.
