UOB organized the First Forum on Nursing and Midwifery with the aim of increasing public awareness on the importance of the nursing and midwifery professions. This forum is the first event to be organized covering the topics related to nursing, nursing profession, midwifery and their roles in the community. Special focus was placed on how nurses promote and endorse healthy practices which has an impact on improving health status of healthy individuals and patients. Due to the vital roles of these two professions, the forum was held under the slogan “Nursing is a Leading Voice to Ensure Health for All”. The event was successfully held under the patronage of HE the Minister of Education with the attendance and participation of more than 200 nurses, researchers and academics. During the research presentation, the participants stressed on the importance of keeping abreast of developments in the nursing profession and the techniques developed in nursing in order to advance the nursing profession, and they also expressed the importance of aligning the nursing education with the latest developments in the field of research, curricula and its sciences.
