To shed light on the ethics of technology and the role played by mHealth4Afrika to improve health conditions in Africa using technology to save money, time and effort.
On 18th February 2019, the College of Information Technology at the University of Bahrain organised a lecture by Dr. Paul Cunningham, Director of IST-Africa Institute and President & CEO of International Information Management Corporation (IIMC), which is concerned with applying modern technologies to support humanitarian efforts in the World, in collaboration with the IEEE Bahrain. Approximately, 60 students and faculty members attended the lecture.
Dr. Cunningham talked about how to adapt and incorporate new technologies to serve developing countries, his personal experience in the African continent and IST-Africa’s efforts to develop human resources in entrepreneurship, creatively and innovation in collaboration with local universities, business incubators and science cities. He also shed light on the ethics of technology and the role played by mHealth4Afrika to improve health conditions in Africa using technology to save money, time and effort.
