The University of Bahrain wins the first place at the awareness zone- educational sector- for the university’s annual participation in the Garden Show

To increase the student’s sensibility to matters related to poverty and equality.

The University of Bahrain participated in the Bahrain International Garden Show 2019 (BIGS), held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and with the continued support of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of the King and President of the Consultative Council for the National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD). ‘A Promising Career Choice’ was the theme for the show organized by NIAD and held from 21 to 24 February 2019. 48,000 people visited the Garden Show in 2019. The University’s participation aimed at promoting careers in agriculture to meet the growing demand for skilled experts, particularly in agricultural technology and sustainable agricultural practices. The University of Bahrain continues to work with the local authorities to address development issues in relation to the agricultural sector in Bahrain through ensuring adequate planning practices.
