On the 5th December 2018, the University of Bahrain, in cooperation with the National Space Science Agency, has held a lecture for the well-known space scientist, former director of the ISRO Space Research Center of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Dr. Annadurai, at Zain hall for e-Learning at Sakhir campus.
The lecture aimed at familiarizing the audience with the types of microsatellites and cubic satellites, and ways universities use these satellites, which can be manufactured at universities, at a lower cost and shorter duration, compared to those satellites manufactured in private factories. Highlighting the programs offered by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) to train university students at space science and technology.
Dr. Anadurai summarized the contribution between the Indian space research organization responsible for space projects in India and Indian universities explaining the mechanism of involving university students in space programs by preparing them for future work in the field of space.
Approximately 100 students attended the lecture to get prepared for future work in the field of space.
