To build a smart house
The University of Bahrain has been through several steps to occupy advance places in regional and international competitions that encourage students to innovate and participate in solving current regional and global problems. UoB has also encourage students participation in outside campus activities. UoB Solar Decathlon team has qualified to the Solar Decathlon Middle East which will be held in United Arab Emirates, Dubai in 2020. The solar Decathlon objective is to involve students to build a sustainable smart house powered by clean energy. This is to raise the awareness and the participation of students in sustainable and clean energy issues. During the design of the UoB smart house, students visited local neighborhoods and meet community in order to design a smart sustainable house that matches local community needs as well as tackling energy challenges.
