To expose latest research and technology in agriculture field
The University of Bahrain is committed to take part in national activities and events that promotes national food security. This is achieved by providing knowledge and sharing latest research developments related to sustainable agriculture to community including school students and farmers.
The university participated in the national agriculture exhibition, which was held during the period 3rd to 5thDecember 2019. The aim of this participation is to promote and support agriculture, local farmers and food security. The University of Bahrain researchers and students shared basic food security and agriculture knowledge and raised awareness to school students. They also provided the attendees of local farmers and food producers with their latest findings in implementing national food security and sustainable agriculture. Some technological and scientific routes toward sustainable food security were demonstrated by the university’s participants. Due to its valuable contribution to this exhibition, the University of Bahrain was awarded the first place in achieving the exhibition objectives.
