In collaboration with the National Space Science Authority (NSSA) in Bahrain, the University organized a forum titled “The Role of Future Sciences on Women’s Participation in Sustainable Development”. The forum emphasized on the active role of women in space sciences and future sciences in general, aiming to encourage female students to involve actively in future sciences.
The forum included two panel discussions: “Bahraini Women and Future Sciences” and “Women in Space Sciences”. The forum hosted speakers from the Kingdom of Bahrain who highlighted the achievements of the students in the scientific field at the global and regional levels, and the achievements of the academics, researchers and administrative women at the University of Bahrain. The panels also hosted speakers from the United Arab of Emirates (UAE) from the Emirates Space Agency who highlighted the role of Emirati women in space projects and in achieving the future vision of the UAE.
This forum established a foundation for potential future collaboration between the University of Bahrain and the Emirates Space Agency.
