UOB offers a new academic program, MSc in Adult Health Nursing, was offered in August 2018 in collaboration with hospitals at Bahrain. The program is one of a kind in Bahrain and intends to enhance the knowledge and practical skills of registered nurses to prepare them to provide advanced nursing care to an adult clients. The program is based on strong scientific foundations including evidenced based practice, therapeutics and technology used in medical, surgical, and critical care units, which are built upon the theoretical and practice competencies of registered nurses. Also, the program aims to develop the nurses’ competencies in health care assessment, critical thinking, clinical decision-making, and acute patient care management across the continuum of acute health care services. The first batch consists of fourteen female and three male nurses. UOB is proud that this program has high demand due to its structure, content and quality of teaching. It helps boost the relationship between the University and the community through improving the healthcare services.
