Kimberly Parekh is currently the UNICEF Gulf Area Office Senior Education Advisor, where she is focused on creating a regional and country level education strategic framework. Relevant to the subject of this webinar, Kimberly has directly worked in the professional development of teachers around the world, focusing primarily on in-service teacher training. Before this role, Kimberly has led operations, technical assistance, and evaluation and research in the areas of basic education, child protection, skills development, and higher education operations and technical assistance for organizations such as UNICEF, World Bank, Global Partnership for Education, Education Cannot Wait, UNESCO, US Government, consulting groups and non-governmental organizations. Kimberly holds an EdS in Education Policy and Leadership from University of Massachusetts-Amherst, MA in International Education from New York University, and BA in Foreign Affairs from University of Virginia.
Danilo Padilla is the Education Programme Specialist at the UNESCO Office for the Gulf States and Yemen. Prior to joining UNESCO GCCY, Mr. Padilla served at the UNESCO’s Kabul Office where he oversaw the implementation of large-scale literacy and non-formal education interventions.
