To promote science and chemistry as a promising career
On Wednesday (24 October 2018), the University of Bahrain celebrated the Arab Week of Chemistry, which falls on the last week of October every year, and more than 30 public and private schools have invited it to participate in an event held at the College of Science at the University’s headquarters in Sakhir.
This event aimed at providing the opportunity for university students and school students to participate in live chemical experiments, showing them the importance of some of the materials they interact with on a daily basis in life, such as tea or toothpaste and vitamin C, motivating them with competitions.
The head of the Bahrain Chemical Society, Dr. Abdul Wahid Abdel Wahab Al-Nakal, pointed out that the celebration of Chemistry Week pointed out the importance of this science in life, noting that the association decided to participate in this event to introduce the student community to the association’s role in the Kingdom, and to highlight the importance of chemistry science in everyday life.
