University of Bahrain wins “Best University of the year 2020-2021” for implementing INJAZ Bahrain programs

The University of Bahrain won the “Best University of the year 2020-2021” Award for implementing INJAZ Bahrain programs” among the Kingdom’s universities.  Director of the Business Incubator Center and Chair of the INJAZ Bahrain Committee at the University, Dr. Esra Wali, received as well the “Best Coordinator of the year” Award, for following up on the progress of the University’s achievement and motivating students to complete the programs.  

The University has bestowed this award for meeting the award criteria and implementing INJAZ Bahrain programs for 2048 students: 1351 students have participated in the “Digital Head Start” program, 622 students completed “Innovation Camp - ICamp” and 75 students participated in “The Company” program.  

On this occasion, Prof. Riyad Yousif Hamzah, President of the University of Bahrain, expressed the delight and pride this achievement brought to the University employees, an initiative to continue supporting and harnessing the scientific and practical capabilities serving the Kingdom of Bahrain.   

Prof. Riyad Hamzah praised the continued efforts and support put into the program. He gratefully acknowledged those in charge of the program at INJAZ Bahrain under the leadership of Her Highness Sheikha Hessa Bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, INJAZ Bahrain Chairperson, and the organizers from the University of Bahrain, for their effective contribution to achieving the program’s goals. Their diligent follow-up on students, preparing programs and activities that contribute to personal and leadership development capabilities and creative skills is greatly appreciated.   

The University has paid great attention to INJAZ Bahrain programs over the years, and thousands of students have benefited from these. The University encourages its students to volunteer in INJAZ Bahrain programs and spread the culture of achievement (INJAZ) on the University’s social media and allocated several coordinators who were in continuous contact with the program organizers.      

The University of Bahrain’s cooperation with INJAZ Bahrain extends back to 2011 where the University also won the Best University Award for applying for “INJAZ Bahrain” programs in the years 2017 and 2020.
