This symposium was held in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program and the Supreme Council for Women. The symposium referred to the Kingdom’s achievements and women’s contributions to the national efforts to combat the pandemic and its repercussions. In addition, other important topics were discussed addressed in this symposium such as the UN’s efforts to address violence against women in the region, especially on the Internet. The efforts of the Supreme Council for Women were clear in the presented positive results to achieve gender balance that appeared in various aspects of public life, as the achievements of the Kingdom of Bahrain contributed to eliminating all forms of discrimination and accelerating the pace of development, pointing to the effective contributions of Bahraini women to national efforts to achieve gender balance and combat the Corona pandemic. (Covid-19) and mitigate its negative effects on the local community and individuals, especially in the social, health, and economic fields
