The University of Bahrain establishes a Clinical simulation laboratory. Prof Hamzah stated that “This project is a new and qualitative leap in the process of teaching and learning in nursing sciences and keeps pace with the development witnessed by this sector, pushing the wheel of nursing in the Kingdom of Bahrain forward. As the establishment of this specialized laboratory in CHSS will contribute to training Nursing cadres according to the highest international standards, and according to curricula based on clinical simulation”.

He then further explained that this laboratory is in line with the efforts of the university to keep up with the scientific progress that the world is witnessing in the field of nursing sciences, and modern trends in clinical training in nursing, as well as the necessity of having theoretical study and practical application before dealing with the patients on the ground in hospitals.

The semi-realistic and virtual educational environment reflects reality to keep pace with modern educational developments in nursing training and practical application. This project is vital for bridging the gap between theoretical and practical education as it will be used for holding clinical exams, which will contribute to refining the clinical skills of nursing students, the accuracy of evaluating cases, and making sound decisions based on scientific research evidence in patient care.
