Diabetics type1 have been helped by ‘Artificial Pancreas'(AP), which is known as a closed loop control of blood sugar regulation in diabetes. It is a system that joins blood glucose checking through a glucose sensor to check blood sugar in vivo, insulin pump and calculation unit to enumerate insulin dosage and amount according to blood glucose measure pump control unit based on the results of enumeration. There is a necessity to put an optimal control which can keep up with sudden change for (T1D), finds better following personification for glucose, and maintain the glucose level within the natural zone (between 70mg/dl and 120mg/dl). In this paper, a state feedback control method based on ‘Linear Quadratic – Servo'(LQ-S) has been proposed. A Kalman Filter (KF) has been used to provide necessary estimates of states to be implemented by the LQ-S design. Simulation results show considerable improvements of the AP performance using the developed controller as compared with that of a conventional PID controller. © 2019 IEEE.
