Bahraini Folktales: One Thousand and One Tales is a project to collect tales, which are put together under the supervision of Dr. Dhiya AlKaabi, and 100 students from UoB Department of Arabic Language during the period 2007-2017. The collection includes 5 books of 2500 pages collectively. It was completed by 2018, in partnership of UoB and International Organization of Folk Art.
The aim of this project is to conserve the cultural heritage of the Kingdom of Bahrain through collecting and recording Bahraini folktales to be listed within the international ranking of international folktales, so as to be available for comparative studies against other international folktales.
