On the 25th and 26th of September, the College of IT held a workshop in AI.The workshop introduces of the basics for Artificial Intelligence AI game development on the Unreal Engine 4. Approximately 35 university and non-university students attended this workshop.
This topic is an important part of any game development process in order to allow non-player characters to able to have responsive and intelligent behavior in games. The foundations laid out in this workshop will allow you to grasp the basics of AI, the use of Blackboards, Behavior Trees, and Navigation Meshes.Additionally, the workshop covers how should an AI react to the player and the environment.
