This collaboration also aims to raise awareness among the university students on space science, through emphasising on their role in the advancement of space science and technology sector in the kingdom.
As part of the MoU, a lab has been dedicated and fully managed by NSSA for the design and build of small satellites. Alongside the lab, an operation room has been designed for ground satellites monitoring, data acquisition and processing. This is a starting point for research focusing on utilising and analysing satellite data to understanding and response to climate change and other relevant environmental issues.
Indeed, the MoU provides the university and the local community with opportunities to contribute to enhance scientific research and develop the infrastructure on campus.
