In May 2017, the University of Bahrain collaborates with Shanghai University in research activities addressing clean and alternative energy solutions. Two conferences were held to discuss research from both universities in the efficient use of materials in energy production, removal of toxins, hydrogen fuel cells, free CO2 energy generation and organic batteries. Sharing of such experiences from scientist from both universities created a starting point for innovation and stronger research collaboration. Such collaborative efforts contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals through encouraging scientific research that in water, energy and climate change.
